We present a Liberatory AI Toolkit that gives researchers actionable strategies and considerations for responsibly using and developing AI systems, despite widespread, uncritical adoption and pressure.

There cards are divided into Category, Principle, Strategy, and Nuance decks.

• 3 category cards define the Repairing, Transforming, and Flourishing themes.
• 15 Principle cards that all correspond to a category.
• 30 Strategy cards (2 per principle) that provide concrete, exemplary approaches to carrying the principles into practice.
  • Strategy cards also feature a QR code leading to a page full of existing projects that demonstrate that strategy.
• 15 Nuance cards (1 per principle) surface tensions, tradeoffs and contextual considerations associated with each principle

This database supplements the Liberatory AI Cards. Here, participants can explore strategies for implementing liberatory principles, global projects demonstrating these principles, and additional resources that dig deeper into each concept.
